DriverThe Land Transport Safety Authority requires that you have your eyes checked every time you renew your licence. If one of your eyes is blurry, it is very likely that you will fail the test on the machine at the AA testing centre, but you may still be able to drive without glasses legally. Therefore, an eyesight assessment to driving standards will need to be carried out and signed off by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. The certificate produced by us will be valid for 60 days.

We would suggest that you give yourself ample amount of time and book for a proper eye exam with us before your driver’s licence is due. This is to help us detect harmful conditions and preserve your eye health before it starts to affect your eyesight. Most eye conditions do not show any abnormalities or symptoms until it is very advanced. Do not rely on having symptoms to tell you that your eye health is in danger. Remember to put your health first and get your eyes checked regularly. Be proactive and preserve your vision.
